Guo Weiqing (senior judge of the first rank), Han Chinese, was born in February 1966 in Meng County, Henan Province. After finishing his graduate study, he received a master’s degree in law. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1989 and began his career in the court office in October 1984. He served successively as Clerk, Assistant Judge, Judge, Deputy Director and Director of Criminal Adjudication Tribunal, Member of Judicial Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Baoshan District People’s Court, Director of Complaints and Proposals Office, Deputy Director and Director of Case Filing Tribunal, Member of Judicial Committee and Judge of Shanghai High People’s Court, Member of Party Leadership Group, Vice President, Member of Judicial Committee and Judge of Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of Shanghai Xuhui District People’s Court, Member of Party Leadership Group, Director of Political Department, Vice President, Member of Judicial Committee and Judge of Shanghai High People’s Court. Now he is the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, President, Member of Judicial Committee and Judge of Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court.
